Japanese Internment Camps Lecture

“The Japanese Internment Camps of WWII: Lesson Learned?” will be presented by Ken Nomiyama at Channing Church’s parish hall, 135 Pelham St., Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6:30 p.m. Nomiyama, a retired businessman living in Newport, was born in an internment camp in 1942 at Tule Lake, California. He serves on the board of the Tule Lake Committee, an organization that promotes education and social change. Suggested donation is $10. Refreshments will be served. 401-846-0643.
